Having grown up all over the world and moving numerous times with my horses in tow, I decided I wanted a more permanent home-base. I placed an ad for “Living Situation Wanted” on a Parelli yahoo group and, among several others, Michelle answered it. The idea of living and working at a Parelli training facility, with a level 4 Parelli Natural Horsemanship student, and other students who want to live and breathe natural horsemanship was exactly what I was looking for without even knowing it. I packed up my stuff, which had been packed and repacked for a few years already, stuffed it all into the front of my horse trailer with my horses stuffed into the back and hit the road for South Carolina.

Things couldn't have worked out better. I work with a few of Michelle's horses a few times each week, feed a few times each week, and am responsible for the general clean-up and beautification projects at Avalo. I also get to use one of Michelle's horses for my levels. On my own time, I play with my personal horses and work on my other projects. A Bohemian and Gypsy at heart, I still look forward to hitting the road from time to time, but generally, my horses will wait for me to return, rather than hitting the road with me... generally.
